Michigan: Part Two

We are officially back from Michigan!
After at 16 hour journey home (with a stop to see family on the way) we arrived safely home.
It was an amazing vacation filled with good laughs, fun adventures to small towns and into cool shops, on hikes through forests and dunes, game playing, swimming and just good old chill time. However, our favorite activity would have to be people watching but we take it to a new level and make up stories for the people walking by...its great fun and creates hours of entertainment.

Now, we're back to the real world of work and prepping for school (I move back in 10 days! AHH!). So much to do and so little time. Life (especially summer) always seems to move faster every day.
I hope you all are enjoying the last few weeks of summer. Any fun plans to fill your days?

Much love,
Sara

Michigan: Part One

Family vacation is going well. We have had a blast spending some well deserved quality time together. As a family we are pretty close and get along about 85-97% of the time, so its usually a blast when we can actually be together.
All the pictures above are just from our cabin area. It is so picturesque. My mama always finds the best places to stay. If Michigan were a mitten we would be on the pinky. It is a great area of Michigan with adorable shops, great hiking, and sandy beaches with great shells and rocks (were a total nerdy rock collecting family). So far it has been great! Lets hope the last few days go just as smoothly.

Baby Brother

So this cutie is my baby brother, Ryan! Can you believe that he is going to be a senior this fall. I cannot believe it. These are a few of the (700) options he has for his senior picture in the year book. Seriously I can't believe how grown up he is. Goodness! I am so proud of this boy/man. He is so caring, witty, loyal and über funny. I just cannot get over him. So handsome. Lauren did an amazing job with them. Check out her blog here or Facebook page here. Seriously she rocks!

(Sorry this is sorta long. I couldn't choose just few pictures! They are just all too cute!)

Basilica Block Party

So we had the best time at the Basilica Block Party. My parents took my brother Ryan and his girlfriend Emily, my boyfriend Riley and I and we met up with our close family friend Bruce. The block party has three stages and we went to the main stage to see Mat Kearney (my favorite ever!!!), The Head and the Heart and Train. It was a blast despite the 100 degree heat and the downpour during Mat Kearney (he wasn't able to finish his set, sad). It was so fun to go to the concert with my parents because they are actually really fun to hang with (and no I'm not just saying that because they may read this). I had a great time and I just plain old love live music!

Mat Kearney!
Soaking wet after the rain! (Emily, Ryan, Me and Riley)

Bruce, Mom (Terri), Random friend my mom made, Dad (Tim)
102 to 72...really?! Crazy MN!

Skyline and lots of people!
