DIY: Pom pom hat

Woohoo a DIY! Even though spring is hopefully around the corner I decided to place a pom pom on top of a simple hat I've had forever!

Supplies: yarn, hat, scissors, hand

1) Wrap yarn about a trillion times around three fingers.

2) Once to desired thickness, tie another piece of yarn around the other direction to secure yarn together. Slide off fingers!

3) Cut loops of wrapped yarn to create pompom.

4) Sew to hat!

5) Wear while blogging and realize how much you miss doing DIY posts!

A Photo: Outfit post

So I've been MIA recently again (wouldn't it be nice if homework did itself?) but here is a little post for you all! I decided to take inspiration from a blogger (Nataly Michelle) who has been taking outfit photos of herself using just her iphone and is just plain ole adorable! I love this idea because I don't have the guts to ask anyone to take photos of me....dumb reason I know. So here's what I wore on Wednesday...I think.

Ropa: Beautiful Michigan Adventures

Here's to great internet and family vacations! My family is on a vacation to Michigan and what a blast we have had...and its only day three. Most vacations contain at least one melt down by this point and thus far NADA! Hooray family! So for are first big day of adventures we decided to go into a cute nearby town. This is what I wore.

I love throwing on simple things that make a fun statement. Also, how cute is that blue bike and phone booth! ADORABLE! More Michigan pics to come. And I hope you are all having a great day and enjoying the last bit of summer!

A blog friend, Elana, asked me if I was planning on doing outfit posts and I said yes but not yet....well I decided that now is as good of time as any! So this is a new series I'm starting(yay!). And I do love fashion so why not share it with the world?! So here you go world the first post of clothes from my closet! 

I am a very frugal shopper and I hate spending money thus much of my closet comes from consignment shops, my mom's closet and cheap stores. ;) 

This outfit is from 2 months ago when my boy and I celebrated 2 years together.

The Olympics! Who doesn't love them?! I love watching gymnastics. They are so good and it is insane how strong they are!
