The streets of Spain!

I have been in Spain for 4 days and loving it! Though I am homesick (which for some reason I didn't expect) its been amazing! I planned to start blogging before now but my computer wouldn't connect to the internet at my home or school, so after much fiddling and reading forums on my phone, I figured it out. Hip hip hooray!
So Here are a ton of pictures of various streets in Spain. Its beautiful, obviously, and so very clean, which is great. The people are stylish and interesting to watch. Life seems slower here, especially for being such a large city. I feel at peace and very safe wandering the streets and shops alone. I have some friends here who witnessed a strike but felt very safe being in the mist of it. Overall, I would say I love it here. I do miss family and friends and Riley but all is well. I know many don't have the opportunity to  travel as much as I have and will have so I am so very blessed (thanks mom and dad)!
Random side notes: As for my spanish, I feel it has improved so lets hope it continues that way. It is draining speaking spanish all day but I need it! Food, has been delicious and rich but good. We eat breakfast at 10:30, lunch 3:30 and dinner between 9 and 10:30. The metro is a very easy form of transportation, on time always and convenient. For now this is all. I will have more stories to tell as the days go by.

Much love,
Sara

  1. I can't even tell you how happy I am for you that you get to spend an entire semester in Madrid! Looking at these pictures brings back so many memories. Love that city. And I agree, it was amazing how safe I felt wandering the streets alone. I'm glad that hasn't changed at all. So glad you figured out how to blog from abroad and I hope you continue to have an amazing time!
